Srinagar,CNS,11-Feb: The menace of stray dogs has become a cause of major concern for the locals of Shilwath Sonawari area in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district .
A delegation from the area told CNS that dog population has increased tremendously in the area. The locals alleged that Srinagar Municipal Corporation instead of relieving them from dog menace have been releasing trapped dogs in vehicles during night hours.
This is a major problem for all of us. Stray dogs bite people, chase them when they go to prayers early in the morning, and scare away children,he said.
”The dog fear has become problem for everyone in the area,” younis added.
One of the major factors for the unabated increase in the dog population is due to their transportation from Cities & towns by SMC and other subordinate committes to Rural Areas.(CNS)
