What inspired you to be poet?
It was personality of my father who also is a spiritual poet and he is the one from where I got inspired to become poet. Often by watching him and the environment he provided in whole family nurtured me towards becoming poet. And I wrote my first poem in regional language just at the age of 7. From that time to now I.e 28years I kept writing and not just writing but also molding myself along with my pen day by day.
A bit about your literary journey ?
After writing around 1000 poems .I along with my family recognised that it is the perfect time where my words should reach the people now and thus when I was in 20’s I published my first sufi book “Sron Sar” which means ” The lake with the depth that no one can measure “. Which got a good response among the local youth. And by the means of that book I packed my name in Indias world records , Indias prime authors 2021 and more.
aA bit on academic journey ?
My academic life was as simple as its everyone’s . Schooling from Srinagar British School, then higher secondary from S.P school, further from GMC, and now pursuing PG from IGNOU. I would like to say one thing was diffrent , that when I used to be in people around me, still I was alone , in my own world, used to wake up late nights ..and start writing whatever would come and run in my mind, wrote on walls , tables, even my cushions and on the next morning would complete it .
Your favourite poetry?
I love to listen to Poetry of great sufi saints born from the womb of our Valley which include the likes of Great Wahab khar, Shamas Faqir, Soch Kral, Nyam seab, Laleshwari (lal ded), Waaz Mahmood.
A bit on Future goals?
My Destination is that with head up and eyes down approach in life.
Everyone who is around me or in my company atleast should be aware of the real reason and real meaning of life. The devotion towards Almighty and the love towards his beloved Prophet (Saw).
How much Sufi Poetry is needed in current times?
Validation has never been a point neither will it ever be nor has the association with tasawuf been disclosed anywhere by anyone . Writers keep writing , listeners keep listening, seekers keep seeking, Searching , falling and rising ,preaching ,reaching and achieving.
Your Message?
No two things have been combined better than knowledge and patience. Be kind, for whenever kindness becomes part of something, it beautifies it. Whenever it is taken from something, it leaves it tarnished.” (Prophet Muhammad Saw).
Rest Seek Knowledge from the Cradle to the Grave.
