Kashmir valley before abrogation of article 370 was notorious for long internet bans, and this caused great hardships to masses. The students were worst hit . Study is in this day and age is much dependent on interhet .As in this day and age buisness also is much dependent on internet, it also used to take a bad hit. But since past few years Kashmir has hardly seen any internet restrictions. Now as a matter of fact the mega 5G has been launched taking the Kashmir into new era of connectivity and dynamic telecom era.

In telecommunications, 5G
is the fifth-generation technology standard for broadband cellular networks, which cellular phone companies began deploying worldwide in 2019, and is the planned successor to the 4G networks which provide connectivity to most current cellphones. 5G networks are predicted to have more than 1.7 billion subscribers and account for 25% of the worldwide mobile technology market by 2025, according to the GSM Association and Statista.

Bharti Airtel, a telecom operator, announced just few days back the launch of its 5G services in Jammu and Srinagar.
The telecom company said that its ‘5G Plus’ services will be available to customers in a phased manner as the company continues to construct its network and complete the roll out.
With Jammu and Kashmir, rest of the country too has seen internet boom. 5G is all over the minds of Indians .

Customers with 5G enabled devices will be able to access Airtel ‘5G Plus’ network at no extra cost until the roll out is more widespread, the company said.
A new study has suggested that India’s smartphone shipments are expected to decline in 2022 due to a range of macroeconomic factors that are affecting consumer demand in the entry and budget segments. However, 5G technology is expected to drive demand for smartphones in 2023. In fact, India’s 5G smartphone shipments are estimated to grow 81% year-over-year in 2022, due to the expanding presence of 5G connectivity in lower price bands and the rollout of 5G networks in the second half of the year.

The study by Counterpoint Research predicts that cumulative 5G smartphone shipments will surpass the 100 million mark in the second quarter of 2023 and surpass 4G smartphone shipments by the end of 2023. In addition, a recent consumer study by Counterpoint found that 5G is the third most important factor for future smartphone purchases.
In the erstwhile State Governments time, internet ban was a major concern.
According to the Software Freedom Law Center, the internet in Kashmir was blocked at least 31 times from 2012 to 2016.

In the last two years Kashmir has seen a huge emergence of internet-based startups especially as internet ban has become thing of past .

But the booming buisness is due not only to the emergence of new businesses, but also the resurrection of those that had to stop operations during shutdowns in the erstwhile state Governments.

Young people are shaping online culture in so many ways. They use the Internet to meet people around the world, create the videos that go viral, they create art that moves us and start and stand behind online social movements that make us think. Jammu and Kashmir youth too in Naya Kashmir are taking full advantage of internet boom.

Over 1.62 crore tourists visited Jammu and Kashmir in 2022, which is the highest since independence in 1947. Hotels, houseboat owners and shikara operators have expressed joy over this.

When reliable, high-speed connections were finally reinstated since 2021. Many youth began selling their products and designs on Instagram,Facebook joining numerous youth in country and startups using the internet to create new business opportunities in the region.

The internet means life to youth as it is now used in every sphere of life. The youth in Naya Kashmir are taking internet as oxygen.

The frustration levels in the youth of Kashmir have decreased much due to non stop internet boom and they are engaging in lot of business activity with the help of internet.
