I was born in Jammu and brought up in Delhi.I did my schooling in the Airforce Golden Jubilee,Subroto park Delhi.I am someone who still cherish those school days.I think a good school with the right teachers mould young minds to bring out the best in them.School education is something that builds up the edifice of an individual’s life, shapes one's life, defines one’s character, morality, ideology, principles, life skills and everything that is required to lead a life besides decorating one's career. What I would like to convey is that the foundation should be strong to build up anything in life. When did you start writing and bit about your writing Journey? I started writing at the age of 9 in school magazines and went on to write many articles in the Indian Express and Times of Oman supplimentary Thursday magazine. I am a Post graduate in commerce, B Ed,CA inter, certified TEFL and Relationship coach.l had worked in many schools India and abroad.I am currently working as a COO in Business center . Writing has always been my passion . I struggled a lot to multi task and complete these three books . About books you have authored? I have Three books to my credit. Rhythms of a heart , Autumn Blaze and An Allusion To Time. Many prestigious literary honours were bestowed on me including the Rabindranath Tagore honours and Independence Day honors from the Motivational Strips and Gujart Sahitya Academy.I feel privileged to be one of the Editors in the most prestigious literary magazine and Newspaper "Writers Tribune".headed by the chief Editor and founder Mr.Shiju H Pallithazeth. What are you currently working on ? Currently I am working on a fiction,a collection of short stories.A beautiful project I am looking forward to releasing in 2023 .My readers can expect two books from me next year poetry as well as prose .As of now I am keeping my fingers crossed. What you love to read and Author preferences ? I read a lot of books irrespective of the genres. It depends on my mood.Talking about poetry I have always been inspired by the work of William Butler Yeats,William Wordsworth ,John Keats ,Rumi and Khalil Gibran. To be honest,I don't read too much of poetry may be cause if I read too much of the legends' work,i may unknowingly bring their style into my writing and I don't want that to happen.I want to create a style of my own in my unique way.i want to leave behind My signature style! Poetry is a type of literature that conveys a thought, describes a scene or tells a story in a concentrated, lyrical arrangement of words, therefore the readers should be able to figure out my own poetic voice. If I talk about fiction , My picks are Stephen King, Agatha Christie,Paulo Coelho, Jeffrey Archer,Colleen Hoover,Sidney sheldon, Amish Tripaathi,Namita Gokhale...so on... Non fiction inspiration -Robin Sharma, Joseph Murphy,Hector Garcia...the list is endless. Your take on literary modernism? Literary Modernism allowed writers to express themselves in more experimental ways than in the past. We are in a contemporary period now Indians are known for a deep commitment to tradition and a vibrant culture,be it in writing or any other art form. The New Era welcomed the Romantic and Progressive movements, further changing fiction and prose in India. The country’s religious diversity including many people of the Hindu, Islamic, and Christian faiths provides an exciting landscape for literature. The path breaking highlight is that one has the freedom to write and upload their work in the social media and literary platforms. When it comes to earning or making it a profession the challenges arise, because a profession which is seen as intellectually glamorous is often the most misunderstood when it comes to the commerce involved. The book marketing is the glitch and the dice is loaded in the favour of the publisher and a new author has to spend out of his pocket to make it a success. Still budding authors are not discouraged. Your take on scope of writing? Writing is a passion for many. But let’s be honest it doesn’t pay well. Thousands of books get published every year, and only a handful becomes bestsellers. Unless you find your way up to the top, writing is a rather unassertive full-time option. But when it’s your passion, you simply can’t give up on it. It is your moral responsibility to keep trying and find your way into that list of bestsellers. These days, great content alone is not enough to make your book a bestseller. Gone are the days when an author could simply take responsibility for “structuring the words”, and the rest is a walk in the park. You need to market yourself and your book. Marketing is an investment, and you need money for it. Your Message? I would say follow your heart and focus on your goals,be dedicated. In order to write one must read a lot of books.Make reading a habit ,I realized this later in my life that reading should be like brusing your teeth daily twice, eating, sleeping and breathing. The absorption of the reading will produce, over time, the writing. And it just flows out effortlessly! Live in the moment enjoy your life My Best wishes to everyone and gratitude to my readers. Thank you so much Mr.Rameez for inviting me in for this interview.Gratitude.
