December, 11, 2022 is no ordinary day .Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and also lay foundation of historic projects. These projects are going to have long lasting impact on progress of India.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Maharashtra and Goa on December 11, stated an official press release.
To revolutionise urban mobility in Nagpur, PM Modi is to dedicate Nagpur Metro phase I to the Nation and lay the foundation stone of Nagpur Metro phase II.
PM is to dedicate AIIMS Nagpur to the nation – it’s foundational stone was also laid by the PM in July 2017. PM Narendra Modi is to flag off Vande Bharat Express connecting Nagpur and Bilaspur.

Prestigious projects

Prime Minister will inaugurate Phase – I of Samruddhi Mahamarg, covering a distance of 520 Km and connecting Nagpur and Shirdi.
According to an official press release, Samruddhi Mahamarg or Nagpur-Mumbai Super Communication Expressway project is a major step towards realising the Prime Minister’s vision of improved connectivity and infrastructure across the country.
The 701 Km expressway – being built at a cost of about Rs 55,000 crore – is one of India’s longest expressways, passing through Maharashtra’s 10 districts and prominent urban regions of Amravati, Aurangabad, and Nashik.
The expressway will also help improve the connectivity of adjoining 14 other districts, thus helping in the development of about 24 districts of the state including the regions of Vidarbha, Marathwada, and North Maharashtra.

New International Airport at Goa

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on December 11 inaugurate in Goa, the state’s second international airport at Mopa in North Goa and the facility airport will begin operations on January 5, 2023.
The New Goa International, or the Mopa airport, has been built at a cost of Rs 2,870 crore on 2,312 acres by GMR Group’s special purpose vehicle Goa International Airport (GGIAL).
The foundation stone of the airport was laid by the Prime Minister in November 2016.
“Developed at a cost of around ₹2,870 crores, the airport has been built on the theme of sustainable infrastructure and has solar power plant, green buildings, LED lights on the runway, rain water harvesting, state of the art sewage treatment plant with recycling facilities, among other such facilities. It has adopted some of the best-in-class technologies like 3-D Monolithic Precast buildings, StabilRoad, Robomatic Hollow precast walls, 5G compatible IT infrastructure,” PMO said in the statement.
The masses and experts are happy that with scenic beaches, breathtaking forts, glamorous casinos and nightclubs, Goa is without a doubt one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. The Mopa airport, the second in the state, is expected to service tourist traffic to the generally more popular North Goa. The state already has an airport in Dabolim in the south.
It is worth noting here that While being a world-class airport, the airport will also provide visitors with a feel and experience of Goa. The airport has extensively used Azulejos tiles, which are native to Goa. The food court also recreates the charm of a typical Goan cafe. It will also have a designated area for a curated flea market where local artisans and craftsmen will be encouraged to.
As per a tentative tour programme shared by the local administration, the PM will arrive at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur at 9.40 a.m. from New Delhi and head to the city railway station, where he will flag off the Vande Bharat Express.
Later in the day, he will take part in various functions before travelling to Goa.

Historic development of India

Police commissioner Amitesh Kumar finalised the security arrangements, under which around 4,000 personnel will be deployed and they will be supported by Quick Response Teams, the Riot Control Police and Home Guards, said the officials.
These projects are going to prove very historic towards the development of India as a Country. These path breaking projects in economically vital states of Maharashtra and Goa are going to change the face of entire country towards an era of betterment.
Coming back to Maharashtra,AIIMS Nagpur will be inaugurated, being developed at a cost of more than Rs 1,575 crore, is a hospital with state-of-the-art facilities, with OPD, IPD, diagnostic services, Operation theatres, and 38 departments covering all major specialty and super specialty subjects of Medical Science.
The hospital provides modern healthcare facilities to the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra and is a boon to the surrounding tribal areas of Gadchiroli, Gondia, and Melghat.
The laying of the foundation stone for the National Institute of One Health (NIO), Nagpur by the Prime Minister is a step towards building capacity and infrastructure in the country under the ‘One Health’ approach.

Catalyst to improve R&D

The ‘One Health’ approach recognises that the health of human beings is connected to the health of animals and the environment. This approach appreciates that most of the contagious diseases affecting humans are zoonotic (animal to human) in nature.
The institute – to be established at a cost of more than Rs 110 crore – will collaborate and coordinate with all stakeholders and act as a catalyst to improve the research and capacity building in the ‘One health approach across country’.
Undoubtedly, 11 December, 2022 is going to be historic day for progress and prosperity of country.
