Srinagar November 19 : Naza Begum, an independent candidate for the DDC polls from the Hajin (A) in Bandipora district on Saturday joined Apni Party in an event organised at the party’s central office in Srinagar. PDP’s former Halqa President from Hajan Chew Ghulam Qadir Sheikh also announced his joining the Apni Party at the same event.
On this occasion, Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari greeted both new entrants into the party fold. The Party’s General Secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir, Senior leaders from Bandipora Imtiyaz Parray, and Noor Mohammad Bhat were also present at the event.
According to a press note, Naza Begum, who stands as an independent candidate for the DDC polls from Hajan (A) in Bandipora joined the Apni Party today. Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari while greeting her into the party fold said that the party will back her candidature for the DDC polls. He urged the party cadre at Hajin to extend her all required to ensure she wins the election.
He said, “Although Naza Begum has joined the DDC poll fray as an independent candidate, she must be deemed as Apni Part’s representative and the party cadre in Hajin will extend its full support to her to ensure she makes a win in these elections.”
Meanwhile, former PDP Halka President from Hajan Chew also joined Apni Party on the same occasion.
Welcoming both the new entrants, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari said, “I welcome you into Apni Party and assure you that you will get complete support from the party leadership and the workers in your respective area while you are out there to serve the people.”
He expressed his satisfaction over the regular joinings of the new members from various regions of J&K join Apni Party.
He said, “The way new people are joining us almost on a daily basis indicates that Apni Party’s agenda gets more popular among the masses with each passing day. The joining of new members rejuvenates us to fight for our goals for the better future of Jammu and Kashmir more vigorously.”
