Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil the logo, theme and website of India’s G20 presidency today via video conferencing.

The G20, or Group of Twenty, is an intergovernmental forum of the world’s major developed and developing economies – the presidency of which will be assumed by India from December 1 for a year.

The G20 Presidency offers India an opportunity to contribute to the global agenda on pressing issues of global importance. During its presidency, India will hold about 200 meetings in 32 different sectors across multiple locations in India.

The logo, theme and website of our G20 Presidency are expected to reflect India’s priorities to the world.

The forum represents around 85% of the global GDP, over 75% of global trade, and about two-thirds of the world population.

The G20 Summit is slated to be held next year – with India as a host.
