Srinagar, October 29: An incident of sacrilege of Quran Sharif has happened in Khan Masjid in Gojwada area of Srinagar district of Jammu and Kashmir. In which a person threw the Quran in the water. In this case, Irshad Ahmed Mir, an accused of Malura in Srinagar, was arrested by the police after raiding overnight. Srinagar Police said that the mind of the accused is not balanced. A case has been registered in this regard under relevant sections at Nowhatta police station. The Srinagar Police gave information about this entire matter by tweeting.
Any sacrilege of the Quran, the holiest book of Muslim religion, is considered a serious crime. Due to its sacrilege, there is often an increased risk of deterioration of communal harmony and peace. Many times there have been riots in many places only because of the insult of Quran. Therefore, the police of Jammu and Kashmir was under tremendous pressure to immediately arrest the person responsible for this incident of sacrilege of Quran. So that peace should be maintained in the state. If this was not done, the anti-social elements could have got an excuse to create a nuisance under the guise of this incident.
