Police have arrested five over-ground workers (OGWs) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district on Thursday. They have been booked under provisions of the Public Safety Act.
Over-ground workers (OGWs) usually help terrorists with logistical support, cash, shelter, and other infrastructure with which armed groups and insurgency movements such as Hizbul Mujaheddin and Jaish-e-Muhammad in Jammu and Kashmir can operate.
The five arrested individuals have been identified as Nazir Ahmad Pala of Doligam, Banihal, Usman of Pogal Kunda Ramsu, Fardious Ahmad Khan of Krawa (at present, an old toll plaza in Banihal), Ab Hamid Khan of Tether, Banihal, and Anyatullah Wani of Gund Adalkoot in Banihal.
