Anantnag,,19-Oct: Apni Party District President Anantnag and former legislator Abdul Rahim Rather appealed to the administration to provide adequate vehicles to the tribal people for their seasonal migration to Jammu along with their livestock.
In a statement issued he hailed the government for providing transport facilities to the community but said that the number of vehicles provided is not sufficient to transport such a large community along with livestock to Jammu from the Valley.
He said, “Due to the insufficient transport facility the nomadic community is facing hardships. I request the concerned authorities to enhance the number of trucks and buses for the nomadic community.”
He added, “The reports suggest that the government has provided only a few load carriers to the tribal community to transport the families and livestock to Jammu, while they require hundreds of trucks for smooth transportation.”
Rather said, “Administration must provide sufficient transport facilities to the tribal community without a further delay.”
