Govt terminates 5 employees for alleged militant links

Srinagar,,15-Oct; Jammu and Kashmir government on Saturday terminated five Government employees for allegedly having militant links.
“Jammu Kashmir five Govt employees have been terminated from service for militant links, running narco-militant syndicate and aiding proscribed outfits to carry out militant attacks”,ANI tweeted.
The employees terminated for militant links have been identified as
Tanveer Saleem Dar (Constable): He was appointed in 1991. In July 2002, Tanveer managed his posting as ‘armourer’ in Battalion headquarters.
Investigation in Tanveer’s case has revealed that he managed this posting to repair firearms of terrorists discreetly and also to arrange ammunition for them.He was known as the most important militant commander and logistics provider of Lashkar-e-Toiba in Srinagar.
Subsequent investigation has revealed that Tanveer was involved in a series of militant attacks in Srinagar and played a key role in the murder of of MLC Javaid Shalla.
Afaq Ahmad Wani working as a Manager at Baramulla Central Cooperative Bank Limited, Iftikhar Andrabi appointed as plantation supervisor, Irshad Ahmad Khan appointed as an orderly in Jal Shakti Department in 2010 and Abdul Momin Peer appointed as an Assistant Lineman in PHE subdivision in 2014.
