AND MEGA PLANTATION DRIVE
FTR HQ BSF Kashmir
To mark the spirit of sportsmanship and to promote the idea of healthy lifestyle among “Gallant” Bordermen, the yearly Inter Frontier Volleyball Competition is being organised by Ftr HQ BSF Kashmir from 27 Sept 2022 to 30 Sept 2022 at SHAHEED PUROHIT STADIUM, BSF Campus Humhama, Budgam.
Total 11 teams of different BSF frontiers (Kashmir, Jammu, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, South Bengal, North Bengal Guwahati, Meghalaya, Tripura, Mizoram & Cachar) are participating in this mega sports event. Sh Raj Babu Singh, IPS IG BSF Kashmir Frontier, graced the occasion as chief guest during the opening ceremony which was witnessed by all ranks of BSF, families, school children. Band show and fanfare to welcome the Chief Guest enhanced the finesse of the event.
While addressing the gathering during the event, Chief guest laid emphasis on the importance of organised games and sports, specially the team games like football, basketball and volleyball. He further added that these games leads to inculcate a sense of fair play, team spirit and leadership qualities. The opening ceremony witness a grand opening along with oath ceremony followed by grand march past by teams under the flag of respective frontiers. During interaction with players Sh Raja Babu Singh, IPS, IG BSF Kashmir Ftr extended best wishes to all players to perform well and encash the opportunity to represent at national and international level. After the opening ceremony of event, in continuation to the social, moral and ethical responsibility towards society and mother earth, a mega plantation drive was organised in which personnel of BSF along with players in the name of their respective frontiers planted various fruit bearing plants at BSF campus, Humhama.
