Whip against illegal extraction continues in kulgam.
Kulgam, 16-Sept;In yet another operation one extracting machine ( JCB) seized by Geology and Mining Departrnent kulgam drifting 3rd in last 24hrs.
On being contacted DMO kulgam Dr Khurshid Ahmad said that on directions of Deputy commissioner kulgam Dr Bilal Mohidin, the team of Geology and Mining Departrnent kulgam raided the area in complaint namely Chowgam wherein people had been requesting for action against offenders involved in illegal mining.
“The moment directions were received swift action was applied and the machine seized tactfully. The machine was latter on handed over to P/ S Devsar”, DMO said.
He further added that zero tolerance against illegal and unauthorized mining will continue until people in general and habitual offenders in particular will shun the illegal practice.
People in the catchment hailed the Heroic action of DMO kulgam who has been continuously in news since he joined the District.
The officer praised the valuable support of District Administration kulgam especially DC kulgam, ADC kulgam and ACD kulgam for the role of essence in curbing the sinus illegal and unauthorized mining in the District.
