*Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) awareness programme held at HSS Razloo, today*
Kulgam, Sep 13: With an aim to build participative democracy and raise awareness regarding voter literacy, Higher Secondary School Razloo today organised SVEEP programme in collaboration with the CEO Office Kukgam.
The Chief Education Officer Kulgam, Mr. Mohd Ashraf Rather presided over the progamme, while Principal HSS Waltengoo, Mr. Ab. Majid Rangrez, Principal HSS Razloo, District Coordinator SVEEP, Mr. Khurshid Ahmad Wani, SHO Kund, Naib Tehsildar Kund and other senior officials attended the event.
During the programme, an awareness was raised among newly eligible voters, whose age is 18 years or above as on 01 October, 2022 to enroll themselves in the Photo Electoral Roll 2022 during the special summer revision 2022.
The CEO Kulgam highlighted the role of social media and new mediums of communication in outreach efforts. The officer stressed for effective strategy to reach out to every eligible voter so that the essence of SVEEP could be attained.
On the sidelines of programme, different events under SVEEP were organised by Govt. Schools of district Kulgam to educate the young students or their brothers and sisters at home regarding the electoral process.
