Baramulla 12 Sep,, : 52 RR of Indian Army today organised final match of Hockey Tournament at Singhpora area of District Baramulla.
According to reports Living up to the motto and traditions of the Indian Army ” Seva Paramo Dharma ” the Uplona Rashtriya Rifles under the aegis of Headquarter 10 Sector Rashtriya Rifles organised a hockey tournament final at Singapora Hockey ground, Baramulla.
The event was organised to mark brotherhood and affection through games amongst communities at Singhpura Hockey ground.
A total of six teams participated in a Hockey tournament. Final match was witnessed by locals expressing great joy, happiness and love towards Hockey. Hundreds of youngsters, children and enthusiastic citizens joined the final match between Bikram Hockey Club and Singhpura Hockey Club.
The Hockey Tournament marked an outright statement of the youth of Uplona that they have already joined the path of development and success with this joyous celebration.
The match was played in an intense atmosphere and with great sportsmanship spirit. In the closely contested final Bikram club, Baramulla won the match with a final scoreline of 2-1.
The event ended with the prize and medals distribution and a trophy presentation to the winning team.
