Holds meeting with media persons on upcoming campaign against drugs
KULGAM,AUGUST,31:
Menace of drugs needs to be dealt very severely at each level and every stakeholder have to play proactive role for elimination of this menace and media is vital tool and stakeholder in war against the drugs, stated Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Dr.Bilal-Mohi-Ud-Din-Bhat during a meeting with media persons held here at mini-secretariat kulgam.
At the outset of the meeting the media persons were apprised that the month long campaign against drugs is scheduled from tommorrow and multifarious activities and awarness campaigns will be carried out across district and their cooperation for coverage of these events making campaign more effective on ground zero and to reach out masses.
The Deputy Commissioner during the meeting also highlighted various measures and initiatives which have been taken to curb the drug menace and added that a full flleged drug de-addiction centre will be made functional soon in the district.
The meeting was also attended by ADC, ACR, SDM Noorabad, Tehsildar and other officers.(CNS)
