Cancellation of FAA & Je Lists
Let the guilty be taken to Task!
Jammu and Kashmir administration has yet again shown its intent of zero tolerance with regard to corruption and in its fresh action in this regard, Cancellation orders of the recently issued Finance accounts assistant and Junior Engineer lists has been ordered. Government has also proposed to hold an enquiry into the issue through central bureau of investigation and has assured that the fresh recruitment process against the posts shall be started soon. This is the second time in the current year that lieutenant Governor administration has done away with the selection process initiated by services selection board. Earlier it was police sub-inspector list that was declared null and void by the LG administration and a probe by the govt. appointed committee had established the mis-happenings in the process.
The strange thing is that despite the fact that the then services selection board authorities had adopted the “cash for Job” approach and the examination papers were leaked to some of the blue eyed candidates, no official involved in this heinous crime was neither punished nor taken to task. The recent events with regard to these selection lists has once again proved that corruption is very deep rooted in our system and the blue eyed people who have amassed huge wealth by this dirty game can go scot free anytime and nobody is going to touch them. These people have ruined the carriers of hundreds of intelligent and deserving candidates who have been toiling hard to get a government job.
This is clear that LG administration has adopted zero tolerance against corruption and favoritism but the thing that must be taken care of, is that the unscrupulous elements which ruin the careers of poor candidates are taken to task and a very strong system of accountability is put in place. The recent cancellation of lists has put hundreds of aspiring students into distress but if the people guilty of corruption and favoritism go scot free, our young generation will lose all hope and it can have consequences.
